Title of Bill: Allocation for GSA Talk by Dr. Horn
Sponsor(s): Senator Watson
Be it resolved by the Franciscan University Student Government (SG) that:
$100 be allocated to the Graduate Counseling Association for a talk by Dr. Horn on November 15.
Recognizing that:
- Horn plans to talk about the sexual abuse scandal and job-related issues (hiring, counselor qualities, etc).
- This event served to recruit more psychology students to enroll in our counseling program, offer interviews for counseling students, and to educate on various issues in the counseling world today.
- Last year, an estimated 40 persons came to this event, including about 40 current counseling students and about 10 undergraduate psychology students.
