Title of Bill: Allocation of funds to buy printers for every dorm at Franciscan University
Sponsor(s): Senator Shaw, Senator McNichol, and Senator Talbot
Be it resolved by the Franciscan University Student Government (SG) that:
$499.90 be allocated to buy printers for St. Francis, St. Thomas More, Trinity, Marian, St. Kolbe/ St. Clare, St. Louis/ St. Elizabeth and St. Bonaventure Halls. The following is a breakdown of costs: Epson- Workforce WF-2630 Wireless All-In-One Printer $49.99 x 9 (St. Francis, St. Thomas More, Trinity, Marian, St. Kolbe/ St. Clare, St. Louis/ St. Elizabeth and St. Bonaventure) $449.91 Total $499.90
Recognizing that:
- With a built-in wireless LAN and Wi-Fi Direct, these Epson Work Force allin-one
printers allow wireless printing from select Internet-connected
devices, such as tablets and smart phones- The jam-resistant design ensures
reliable performance - These printers have scan and fax capabilities and can print in color
- Installment of these printers will benefit the entire on-campus population of
the student body at minimal cost - These printers will especially help students who have early-morning classes
and are not able to print documents by the time the library closes the night
before - Students will buy their own paper for the printer, and ResLife will fund the
ink cartridges.
