Title of Bill: Allocation of Funds to Graduate Counseling Association
Sponsor(s): Senator McNichol
Be it resolved by the Franciscan University Student Government (SG) that:
$105 be allocated to Graduate Counseling Association to fund a talk by Dr. Horn.
Recognizing that:
- The event will occur on November 9th at 5:15 pm, in the Seminar room of the Saint Joseph Center.
- The discussion panel will consist of 4 members from CMHC and 2 members from psychology department.
- The faculty from the CMHC program offer a panel discussion once per semester to discuss a current issue in counseling. It serves the student body by unifying the undergraduate and graduate programs and enhancing recruitment to our program.
- Last semester the professors spoke about the differences between the psychology and mental health counseling professions. This is the event with the largest amount of undergraduate students present, due, in part, to the undergraduate faculty participation. Our topic this semester is on the Christian view of human suffering.
- Estimated amount of persons= 75.
