Senate Bill: Spring 2018 – #48
Title of Bill: Reimbursement of funds to the Graduate Counseling Association
Sponsor(s): Senator Cortese
Be it resolved by the Franciscan University Student Government (SG) that:
$100 be reimbursed to the Graduate Counseling Association for a speaker gift for their Chi Sigma Iota induction ceremony.
Recognizing that:
- The induction ceremony took place on April 12, 2018 from 4-6 pm in the In- ternational Lounge.
- Every spring semester the graduate counseling department initiates new mem- bers into Chi Sigma Iota, the graduate counseling honor society, for those whom have maintained GPAs at or above a 3.5.
- The speaker was Dr. Devon Mandarina from Waynesburg College
- The talk focused on what to expect when you graduate as a counselor and how to apply for licensure and use Chi Sigma Iota for professional development as a counselor.
